Here is the Ebid Army Thread .......HERE
Cheaver saw your posting about over 70's lockdown where you had put NO CHANCE can't find it now but was it something to do with this, I've just received this email from my friend and ex-colleague who is in late 70's and ex-military who is not happy nor are my older sisters. by the looks of it are the other recipients. I have deleted the sender and recipients name for privacy reasons.
I hope the so called elite start to take notice, of locking down the generations, who have overcome more adversity in their lifetimes than the modern day youth. The over 70`s will not just sit down and take it. Be warned and tell your MP`s you are willing to do whatever to stop it
What does anyone know about this ?
It’s news to me.
Have said all along that “they” would find further reasons for lockdown to continue indefinitely.
---same here, entirely agree. I'm 81 and really do not have time to waste. Besides, don't they realise that there would be far more deaths due to suicides amongst the very old than by Covid 19? The thought springs to mind that they actually WANT to kill of the over-70s?

The government is seriously considering a Bill to enforce (yes!) that over-70s must stay in their homes INDEFINITELY!! Needless, to say, no over-70s appear to be involved in these discussions, and as far as I can see, no one has understood that over-70s simply DO NOT HAVE a year to waste hiding from the inevitable.
I don't know how to progress this, but a mass protest of some kind needs to be made. I am suggesting a physical mass protest (keeping 2 meters apart, naturally). Frankly, this discussion terrifies me far more than the virus. I cannot face being stuck here alone in this room until one of many possible ailments kills me. I want to LIVE one last time! Can these idiots not understand this?
Sorry for the outburst. These proposals seriously frighten me. Do any other older people feel this way? Please let me know what you think.

The threat was over a month ago and died...except for such well respected sources as: the Sun, the Mail, the Express and the Mirror...nuff said, I think.

I've seen no real evidence of this; however, they have been doing some very boring "let's all cheer up" pieces. On a personal note, I am very much used to being alone. The only thing I miss is the ability to go to church when I wish. However, as most of us keep in touch by phone or email, etc, so it is not as bad as it could be. I walk the dog every day and have a regular shopping day, so there is nothing new there. Most of us are creatures of habit, and the older we become the more ingrained the habit!
The only current stories following this "over 70s" theme are in the press I mentioned, especially online, so if you do a very simple search, you are likely to end up with something from one of those sources. The BBC will show you its original report, clearly dated to about March 22nd (working from memory); it appears to be a government "fishing trip". I noted that a minister in the Welsh Assembly had replied that this would not be happening and the whole thing disappeared. I assumed that disunity at that level would be enough to kill off the notion.
If anybody here is still finding this as a news item, I'd be glad if they'd send me the link as obviously I must have missed it...
