WEll when I woke everywhere was white with frost & actualy had a lovely walk cold but nice but we could see the clouds building, a real wintery start people trying to thaw windscreens out & cars in several places with engines running but no one in them. & an hour later it had gone & now raining well, but feels very cool think will be putting the extra heater on today.

Did the relists, & suppose will now manage to do some listing as can't cut the hedge which had hoped to do.

Somer is still asleep don't blame him.

hope everyone manages to stay warm & dry.

Ello troops. Pouring here, so don't think I will be marching around the neighbourhood delivering more letters unless it dries up a bit this afternoon. Up to 52 objections now but I suppose I will have to wait until Monday before the page updates again.

Well I had a surprise when I went to Frome yesterday. We were walking out of the car park and two women came walking towards us and I suddenly realized that one of them was someone I used to work with at Bath university library and was one of my best friends back in the early 1980's. I haven't seen her for about 25 years as she had moved away to live near St Albans with her first husband ( I did visit her once up there) but we had just kept in touch via Christmas cards since then ! Turns out she has just retired from teaching and she and her 2nd husband, who I have never met, have just moved to a village near Warminster so we will be getting in touch for a meet up and very long catch up !!!

I did manage to find a couple of bits of stock but there wasn't a lot around. It was nice looking at all the little arts and crafts shops they have there though.

So instead of snow, we've had rain all night

We have a new neighbour - he's all of 6-7 weeks old now and beginning to chuckle rather than scream to be fed. His cot is the other side of the party wall with my 'office' - love to hear him when up here.

Sarge, you'll be pleased to know that my holiday notice is now on so my listings are ultra-safe. Just need to make a big notice to remove it on the 23rd for the YDC!

Time for another mug of tea.

Mornin' troops. Glad your listings are now safe Private Mcc2 !

Now the rain has finally stopped I need to find the energy from somewhere to get back out on my route march around the area. There are still a few streets I haven't covered yet. It's just amazing how many houses are packed into such a small area.

It's the oldest cadet's birthday today he is 31, where does the time go ?! Gawd I feel old !

How long will they keep you in for Private Mcc2 ?

4 nights as they're admitting me Thursday evening instead of 7am Friday morning due to the distance we have to travel and possible traffic/road disruption/diversions.

All being well, home next Monday.

Chilly, isn't it? Birds and chickens are fed. OH's sons and families have left after coming yesterday to take us out to lunch for OH's birthday. It was nice to see them all. Cat is glad to have the runoff the house back, as one of the boys brings their German Shepherd along.

Went to the memorial service at the local church this morning. Now it's starting to get dark. Only a few weeks, and we can start enjoying longer days again.

I hope you're able to relax a bit this week, Annie. Maybe get in some special supplies to enjoy while you recoup.

    Ta-Ta for now!
