Hello everyone!
Bah humbug! I'm not too happy with this weather ..... stifling hot, flies and wasps everywhere and NO RAIN!
I got all excited yesterday afternoon 'cos heavy rain and thunder was forecast. I lit the firepit and burnt all the garden waste - mostly the brown leaves from the underskirts of the Cabbage palms. I got all the washing in, put all the garden furniture away & kids toys, placed buckets at strategic points and ensured that the water butt would collect the valuable rain water, and then proceeded to sit and watch the radar map of the rain coming in on google. We got NOTHING! The rain bypassed us. JR is out now watering the flower beds and the greenhouse stuff - we are on a water meter so double groans from me!
No signs of rain at all in the foreseeable future. Rant over !
I have been listening to all the choons, and I remember Quo doing that live broadcast on R2 - I listened to it live!
Thanks for all the choons books and Old, some corkers there!
Here's a trio from me ....

Another wonderful professional rendering from you Old, you sure are very talented.
Oh - that is so sad about the farmers topping themselves because of the tough times.
I watched a special programme on the box yesterday - our farmers here in East Anglia are also suffering big time.
To add to their misery of the drought, they are having to contend with arsonists who have set fire to their stashes of hay and also thieves that are stealing all their equipment - the cops are very loathe to intervene apparently. (Hmmm .... )
The programme also showed the misery of commuters from here to London - even though they have painted the rail lines white, they have still buckled in the heat and there has been numerous fires along the tracks.
Shes, I love the "Redneck Entertainment" lol! We have three jars of jam and water placed about the garden - which has cling film over the top with an entry for the wasps. The clever ones escape, but some are a bit dumb and cannot find their way out!
At least it's keeping them away from us - we think we have a nest somewhere as there are so many buzzing about.
So glad that you are enjoying a peaceful, drama free life, remember that you are still convalescing young lady - so don't get over-doing everything!
Wyo, how's things in your neck of the woods? Have you made any good pot roasts lately? You know that you have to share! Hope Sadie is keeping cool with all that lovely fluffy coat that she has - at least it's not black like my Reina and poor deceased Kaiser.... (sheds a tear, so miss him )
I have to go now guys, Dom is on his way home and I have to get his dinner ready - he wants Lemon Chicken and rice - ugh! I'm blerdy well fed up of cooking in this heat!
