Whatever is serving up the ad shown below is a real pain. Every time it restarts the video it scrolls the eBid page down to display it. Having trouble even writing this as I keep getting taken to the ad.

We've made a point of not allowing video and popup ads on eBid as they are very annoying. Will take a look at why this one got through the net.
Thx,

Been doing some digging and it seems Google have removed the option to actually stop video ads from showing now. They are classed as "display ads" which also encompasses normal banner ads.
Their details also say that video ads only play after user interaction and do not auto play. Is the video starting without you clicking or hovering?

Yes, started without any action from me (I hadn't even seen it until I was forcibly taken to it). Even pressing the 'pause' button didn't stop it firing whatever the event was that was causing the page to scroll to it.
I also tried clicking on the icon in the top-right corner which on a normal Google served ad gives you the option to stop having it displayed to you. This ad seemed different though and I got this:
I clicked on Set Your Ad Preferences and opted out of all possible feeds, but the ad still didn't go away and continued to bug me until I gave up and headed for bed.
There didn't even seem to be the usual rotation of ads displayed; just that one continually - regardless of what eBid page I was on.
eBid is the only site I have whitelisted in my ad blocker as I like to do my bit to generate some income for the site. That ad is such a PITA though that I would have to reconsider that if it became a regular 'feature'.
I don't object to it being displayed, but I do object to it taking control of my screen and scrolling it to the ad whenever it feels like it.
