Hi, I know this is a long shot but I will give it a try....
Up to last weekend my printer/scanner worked with no problems (last used on Sunday) . However since having the latest W10 "upgrades" forced on me (I had selected postpone until 28 May, but, got a confirmation) but still the download happened on Monday regardless when I tried to log out).
Tonight I used the printer (Epson XP-530) for the first time since. The printer operated via the USB cable with no problems.
Then came the bad news, I tried to scan something. And got the message that the laptop can't communicate with the scanner. I checked the scan settings as suggested, these looked okay XP-530 connected locally.
Pressed the button to test and got this response:
the scanner is not ready Interface: Not Connected Options: Unknown Firmware: Unknown.
The USB cable is still in situ from when I used the printer, it worked then and still does for the printer, so that is not the problem.
Can anyone suggest anything please?
Thanks (Seriously pigged off at the minute as I intended to do large-scale scanning this weekend).
