    Default Newbie here

    Hi Everyone!

From the USA in beautiful North Carolina, I just enlisted today and I am so excited. I'm looking for a new place to venture besides eBay.

I just listed three baskets I hope can find a new home. Hope to list more things in the coming weeks.

Anything I need to know just drop me a line. Look forward to meeting ya'll.

    Thanks
    Grannie.

BTW, anyone else out there from the US ????????????

One piece of advice I would give is that you need to list many more items on Ebid than you do on Ebay. You can afford to list more, and the footfall is lower, so do the math and list as much as you can. That is how I have earned my feedback.

    Hey, Grannie!!

Welcome to eBid! As Bill indicated, you'll need to work a little harder on this site as we aren't as well known as the other place, but I'll guarantee ya, we're a whole lot friendlier

If you haven't already, be sure to read the Help FAQ for sellers so you know how to list to get items shown by Google, etc. http://www.ebid.net/us/help/selling-on-ebid/
And there is a wealth of information in the threads on the forums as well as places to socialize

And you've arrived just in the nick of time to bid on our monthly Charity Auction - proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity this month.

    Best of luck to you!!

Obviously it's a new eBid rule which I must remember as I always believed that replying to a 'plug your auction' thread was against the rules. Oh well, you learn something new everyday.

This is not really a "Plug your auction" posting because she is not actually plugging any sales. So I think that members have been treating this as a contact message and being friendly and helpful instead of jumping on a newbie for posting in the wrong thread. I don't think that the "rule" or convention of not replying on a plug thread has been changed.

Thank you for the advise everyone, and, I'm sorry if I caused any friction, this was the only place I could see to introduce myself.
