Thread: Microwave help

  1. #1

    Default Microwave help

Is it safe to take the cover off a microwave to adjust it as last time i had it serviced the casing must have been fitted back on a bit scuwiff and the timer now keeps getting stuck on the casing, if you put the timer on for 3 mins it's okay but anything above and it gets stuck.

Yes Buttons it is...so long as disconnected of course!

You may well find that loosening the screws all around is enough to wiggle into correct position. If not...yes removal is fine.

I assume the timer is mechanical and not digital, so cannot be wound beyond a certain point.

Yes Cam it mechanical, you can wind it past 3 mins but it just catches when unwinding and sticks. Mike said there is a gap at the top of the timer and it's catching at the bottom. I do have a digital one up on the top floor but himself likes the mechanical one. anyway at the moment it is in bits, lets just hope he can get it back together
