So i'm listening to some tunes whilst scanning some books to list and this one pops up, not heard it for some time. One of the best cover versions i've heard........ remember boys & girls don't pish in the water supply !!
The Sensational Alex Harvey Band - School's Out
This got me thinking about some of the more obscure cover versions I have in my collection and came up with these.....
Jackie Leven - You've Lost That Loving Feeling
Joe Brown - Black Betty
John Stewart and Nanci Griffith - Daydream Believer
Not so much a cover Daydream believer was written by John Stewart and includes the original line "and now you know how funky I can be"
The Marmalade - Hey Joe
Rick Nelson - Lay Back In The Arms Of Someone
Oh Books! Bertha Butt Boogie - LOL!
The guys from my construction crew (I Don't Wanna Do It) were here today and redid the edge of the deck. Looks lots better now but boy did the wind blow at the end of the job. It was 49F, but it felt like 20F. Brrrrr!
Went over to church yesterday - there are sure a lot of us ill and in the horsepital. Max had a stroke, actually they say several little ones, Fred had heart surgery, Carl and Colleen are not doing well.
Temperatures are on the rise here, but they are predicting some moisture too, which is a good thing if it comes down in the liquid form. Dad used to say "Snow is nice and pretty until somebody stomps on it."
I YDC, Do you?
Got to the last choon and ended up watching Smokie and abba all night, have come to the conclusion that you can't knit and watch ABBA.
Good Morning Everybody.WET.WET.WET Here.
Hello everyone,
not a great deal to report really.
Weather has been miserable, wet this morning, so I've had to have the tumble dryer on - not good as I washed big towels and my dressing gown and a white padded woolly lined jacket, took forever to dry.
Heard that Teagan and family are coming over this weekend, and all the others - we are all going out for a meal on mothers day. That should be fun - all the little ones fighting to sit on nanna's knee ...lol!
Hope everyone is safe and well, and looking forward to some more choons to listen to ...... keep 'em coming!
