Hi guys and guyesses!
Sad to see that there haven't been many posts here of late - where is everyone? Hibernating?
Well, the last few days have been very cold at night and we have had a heavy frost - good job I have bought a lot of the tropicals indoors, much to JR''s annoyance.
He has to fight his way to his favourite place around the table as there is a Lemon Tree, Oleander, various sizes of Plumeria, palms etc all sitting around the table!
I told him to shut up, as they are prettier to look at than he is ....
Talking of a heavy frost reminds me of a joke -
Did you hear about the 'lady of the night' who fell asleep on the synagogue steps?
Next morning she was covered by a heavy dew ...........
I have to say that it was a beautiful morning - sunny, blue skies and everywhere covered in a crisp white frost. I just wish we could get some snow - the dogs would love it (so would I!)
I have been busy making tea lights and melts for baby shower favours (favors) for my daughter in laws friend - strange that this American custom is now becoming popular here in UK. I'm not complaining - I enjoy making candles, melts etc very much.
Today I have made another batch of butternut squash soup (last lot I made got devoured so quickly) and a large cottage pie, which is now portioned off ready for the freezer. It comes in handy for the workers to take for their lunch instead of sandwiches.
I'm now ready for some liquid refreshment, those hurricanes sure look good Wyo! Look forward to seeing your headbands
Old, glad you had a good time at the steel geetar meeting, although I have to say I think I prefer Eric Burdon's rendition of that great, great choon - and Oooh! 33c - can I come over to your place? I'll help you down with those cold beers that are going begging!
Maybe Sal will come with me and you two can entertain me with your geetars and singing!
Obviously, I wouldn't join in - wouldn't want to cause a stampede of all the 'roos trying to escape the ungodly racket emitted from my vocal chords -
Sal - I so loved that Eric Carmen choon and vid - I hope you weren't too sad and lonely, me little duck x
Now then - PosBalloo, books, and all our other cocktail lounge friends, drop by and say hello!
G'day Trish, Tony & all
What - me sing - you must be joking. The only time I'm ever asked to sing, is to empty a room!
In fact, did you hear about that latest earthquake in NZ - yep - my fault for singing in their direction!
Sure, c'mon down (bring the soup) - it's only 30c & chance of showers with possible afternoon thunder storms today! Plenty of drinkies to go 'round
Brekkie & choon anyone!

Thanks old am just going to bed and will take a glass of orange with me![]()
Hope you added a drop of the good stuff to your nightcap buttons!
Would love to 'c'mon down' to Oz Old, hey, I wonder how many bars we would be chucked out of! (... and not for just singing!)
I think the critters endemic to Oz, especially them there spiders and snakes (not to mention those HUGE Cane toadies) scare me very much .... eek!![]()

I'm feeling a bit cross, Lucia dumped all her gym stuff on me and said she wanted it washed and ready for tomorrow morning - I usually set the timer on the washer to wash overnight, so I had to do two washes today - her work clothes and gym stuff. Tumble drier is working overtime but the icing on the cake is she had left a tissue in a pocket and everything came out of the drier covered with white bits - it has taken me ages and ages to get rid of the stuff - seems to stick like sh*t* to a blanket.
Not only that, but son phoned a couple of hours ago - asking me to look after baby Ava tomorrow - I have told him time and time again to give me more notice - but since he was pleading, I said I would. She is a good baby (so far!) and not half as mischievous as her 2 year old sister Isla.
My cup certainly doesn't runneth over, in fact it's empty - so I'm off to fill it up![]()
What would your kids do without their loving Mom, Trish? Mine lives too far away.
Here is a pillow I have been making for a looonnng time for DS. Hope Cheaver doesn't see it and nick it.

And here are my headbands. I plan to send the pair to Lisa and tell her one is for her and one is for Micki.
Spent the afternoon in Cheyenne getting my hair cut and finishing up on taxes. They were complicated this year because of the sale of my 4 plex (free at last!). Now on to a life of computers, crochet and sewing. Yay!

#2 - Just so you know you're not seeing double - yet.
Thanks for the Dolly and Jim, Trish. I adore Dolly. She was young when she did that.

Hi Wyo and everyone, it's good evening from a very cold and frosty Suffolk - roll on spring I say!
Wyo - that pillow and the headbands are awesome, you sure are one talented lady.
Hope your haircut went better than the last one I had - I still can't do a thing with it after over a month - bits sticking out everywhere and it doesn't help when I keep cutting chunks off ....![]()
Today went well looking after baby Ava, although I'm really suffering with backache now. I've had to lie down on the hard kitchen floor to ease the pain.
I guess the spirit is willing but this old flesh (and bones!) are weak!
So tired now, everyone has been fed, so I'm going to have a nice hot candle-lit aromatherapy bath .... bliss!
PS: Wyo, Dolly sure was young when she did that, she still looks good even now, although with her money I guess that's not too hard an achievement!
