Yep, would you believe I nearly got two !!!
It finally arrived around 12.30 (so much for me getting up at six this morning) and then O/H takes a phone call and shouts to me that I have a delivery arriving in half an hour. So I phoned the person back and low and behold they were about to deliver me a second bed ! You couldn't make it up if you tried could you ?!

Anyway I have had a happy afternoon with my alum key and spanner, swearing quietly under my breath, and I have at last after two months hassle got a bed for my guests to sleep on.

We have a local Bed Store (independent). They are just along the road so actually saw what I was buying and had a wee bounce even.
Had a few weeks wait for delivery but then phone call BEFORE the promised date
- delivered, cellophane and cardboard etc removed (and taken away with them), screwed together, casters on, headboard on, sorted.
Also got 3 x 5 drawer chests, narrow, normal, wide - and wheels and handles on and put in place with them too
.... and not expensive either, very pleased.

It was sooo easy. Not rubbing it in, just saying sometimes it can work out - they have not been opened long, hope they stay in business!

i am soooo cold. my hands and feet have been like blocks of ice all day. so i have turned the heating up, put my electric throw on the bed and am just about to crawl under my covers.

Penni, I am the same and have just got out of bed, my body core is freezing and because of that my pruritus is playing up my skin feels very sore and is alive from head to toe, i cannot stop scratching, just had a big bowl of rice pudding and am now getting a hot water bottle to put on my knee, i am also going to attempt to get in a bath of hot water later whether i break my neck or not trying to get out ( thats if i manage to get in it )

Good morning! Not caught up on the news yet, but will soon. Have been knitting doll's clothes over the last couple of days. I have to knit a trouser leg and I shall have another clothed doll looking for a new home. I just can't decide what to do with them: charity shop or list them somewhere. Off to make tea and coffee in a mo. Mil is talking to someone, so it could be an interesting day. See you later

i have been sewing and made a rather disasterous penguin, which will do the dog as a toy. I didnt realise seam allowances were not included in the pattern. That'll teach me to read the instructions more carefully in future

Terrible the news from Paris.

Have to rush as off to Surrey soon with the Cadet so make sure you guard my listings while I'm gone. HQ had better watch out as I'm going to be so close, they might need their gas masks for the gin fumes !
