in case you did not read it was in reply to squens post that highlighted the connection between plastic and the environment , which indeed you did yourself in a previous post and i did in a previous post, indeed my post shows just how touchy the agenderists are on any one who dares to question anything to do with the green religious environmentalist extremist movement, discussing the charging of plastic bags for environmental reasons leads to a broadening of the subject as a whole otherwise the point becomes pointless

Not everyone will read this, of course, since it comes from me!
The argument behind the carrier bag ban is environmental. They are said to be bad for the environment.
However, if you pay 5p, they are suddenly not bad for the environment at all. Just the opposite in fact: We are told that the 5ps will be given to charities, which will improve people's lives, and may well include envoronmental charities.
This is an example of Politician's Logic. Buying a 5p bag is both good and bad for the environment at the same time.
As is not buying one - a non-purchase adds to the total of environmental harm avoided, and at the same time deprives charities of much-needed funds.
From this point of view, it doesn't make any difference if you continue to use plastic bags, or stop, and use re-usable ones - the general effect is the same.
You will spread good and harm in roughly equal measures whatever you do.
This is a Good Thing: You don't have to make any difficult decisions, and any you have already made won't make any difference anyway.
The point of charging 5p per bag is to reduce the number of bags at large.
but it hasn't i posted earlier that the result of supplementing plastic bags with black plastic bags has only seen a decrease in plastic bags by 4% that get back to the environment thats a government stat, this figure does not take into account bags and reusable bags bought at source
they have to be seen to be doing some thing yet the some thing amounts to very little

and at the same time, Cameron and his homies are going to be fast tracking legislation to allow fracking under national parks and wildlife despite previously promising not to!!
