Yes well I'm just waiting to hear from VW about my new Amarok, which will no doubt be part of a re-call.
I will not be a happy chappy if a fix involves a loss of horse power
I may be joining some form of class action yet - who knows!
Legal eagles down here are saying owners may be entitled to a full refund![]()
The re-profiling of the engine control units is likely to have an effect on the driving performance of the Volkswagen AUDI Group cars affected by the scandal. Vehicle performance likely to be less lively then before the fix. A bit like feeling the throttle opening up wide when you put your foot down but then feel the ECU kicking in to dampen everything down.
The VAG dealerships will be working flat out next year with all the ECU software updates and will be laughing all the way to their banks!
It will cost VAG a large fortune to fix all the cars affected, and then there will be all the regulator fines and court case compensations to pay.
oh well perhaps i should be happy with my new tractor, no ECUs no comp needed to tune it. different story next year kubota tractors will be fitted with ECUs there garden machinery/tractors are already fitted with them
remapping cars and vans is not so expensive nowadays you could retune the above cars to outperform factory settings and still be within current regs, theres always a way

MY ATTITUDE IS A RESULT OF YOUR ACTIONS!!!
IF YOU DONT LIKE IT BLAME YOURSELF.
I think my next mode of transport will be a horse and cart. Just feed and use the emissions for the garden. No recalls required!![]()

Maybe or maybe not. Perhaps horse owners know the answer.
