Is it possible to move or copy threads from the temporary forum which ran from July to September into the forum as it is running now?

Gazza did say that they were going to try to do that over the next few days (assuming it is possible, as I don't think the message databases are compatible).

The majority of posts since the new forums went in were complaints about the forums themselves, so I don't think a lot will be lost if they can't do it.
