The majority of my items are vintage so I shall place the word 'Exempt' in the barcode section. But do I then leave the 'Brand' section blank or do I add a Brand name if I have one?
Many thanks in advance.

Definitely as an adjective.
I always leave the brand box blank on my vintage items and just mark them as "Exempt". They usually always get uploaded successfully to Google Shopping. I say usually as the odd one seems to go astray sometimes for no obvious reason. I think that is just the nature of the beast.
Fair enough but vintage means to me, with exception to wine of course, that the item being sold should be listed with the year of manufacture.
If you are selling 'vintage' items just ensure that all defects are stated in the title/description to help save you grief on the sale.
The word 'vintage' is often used on eBid listings OP when it's obvious to some that it isn't a vintage item so please be careful.
Good luck with sales.

Some very helpful points, especially factoring in the dates (something I failed to include in most listings).
As it stands my listings have been uploaded to Google shopping having placed 'unknown' in the barcode section as well as filling in the 'Brand'.
Interestingly I notice that my items appear through Google shopping on my laptop and desktop but not on my mobile device.
Also, is there a way to add 'unknown' in the barcode section via the Bulk Edit tool?
