.
I've tried everything I can think of to track this porcelain mark down...
Does anyone recognize it or have any inklings please?
(on the bases of a pair of lustre jugs, creamer & milk)
TLS?
T&S?
JLS?
J&S?
.
Thanks Blue. I've tried it on google but just got images of scrolled ironwork - which is marginally better than my previous attempt which resulted in stylish fingernails!
I haven't found a site which will let me upload the mark other than google.
I've found the actual image on Kovels .... but they want a Premium subscription for a year to view the details.....
I wonder if there is a kind eBidder who happens to subscribe to Kovels? or actually knows the mark 'cos they just do?
.
I did go through the registration just to see what the catch was.You have to download all sorts of crap as well.If you decline all of that you can't download the book.
If it looks too good to be true.........

Thanks Annie. I searched actual images of the 2 items; the actual backstamp; the Kovel backstamp and Blue's gif - nil results .....
I've been through all google images of lustre jugs; lustre jugs here & TOS (even the sold ones) -
can't find anything like them anywhere....
Life shouldn't be this hard!
I don't even know what the actual letters read as! (reminds of the Platzl!)
.
Sorry, I couldn't find your mark, but I did find a cool site with lots of info. about antique ceramics and other objects:
http://www.antique-marks.com/collect...-ceramics.html
Maybe PM Cornish, she knows a good deal about pottery and might recognize this one.
Best wishes for many sales to all,
