That's fine. It was an invitation - not an order. Stand easy.

Its about time this system was overhauled outdated and not fit for purpose.

Ukip nearly 4 million voters 1 MP
    SNP I million 56 MP

    Time for a change

I was chatting this evening with three Geordie boys...you may guess where!

There was a recount here which went to the Tories. This is normally a safe Tory seat. Very roughly the count was 1/3 each for Tory. Labour and UKIP. Sounds ok from a normal perspective....but I am willing to bet, Mel that having read your posts over a few years you would not wish to be associated with the UKIP voters in this area - they would horrify you! These are the dregs who blame everybody else for their problems. And we all know what happens when we find people to blame...

Incidentally the Geordies were bankers...so of course had been working in Poland.

Couldn't agree more, Your Majesty. I only wish they'd adopt that system over here and get rid of the outdated electoral college system.

Bows and misses the couch but saves the coffee.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Errrr.... You do use that system. The Electoral College only selects the President and Vice President. First Past The Post is chiefly used by countries that are ex-British colonies.

The same thing that happens when people start to feel like unrepresented second class people in their own country?

If you are to learn the lessons from history you need to learn them all.

Your comment reminds me of a visit to a small town museum, where I'll guarantee I'll find all my boyhood, including Ration Book, "What to do if the Germans Come" and all the other governmetn propaganda issued at that time. yes...it's history to the youngsters! However, we needed no lessons and still do not!!

My mother was 21 in 1925, but had no right to vote until 1928. Grandmothers and eggs come to mind...

Of course, you may have your way despite a recalcitrant government; perhaps the European Parliament will decree that ALL elections within the EU must be by PR...hmmm...now there's a thought!
