David's back from his mother's and she's bearing up. He's going back on Monday to sort out all the paperwork - Registrar, etc.

Good morning! Somewhere around here is an alarm going off. It doesn't bother me, but the closer neighbours won't be pleased. I have just finished a fourth patchwork cushion cover from the 3 shirts with a few bits from a dress I made. There is probably enough scraps left for another, but I think this is enough. The rest will be binned. Let's face it - the scraps are getting smaller. But I do love my sewing machine. I have been to the canteen and made tea and coffee. Even remembered to remove some bread from the freezer. It's getting light outside, but there are quite a few clouds, so maybe a little rain later. The garden would like it, I think. Time to read some mail and answer some too. Have a good day

Morning - we both slept like logs last night

Will catch up with Mum-in-Law later. Funeral's set for 2 weeks time, No. 1 son has booked flight from Vancouver; No. 2 son has been dissuaded from travelling from Oz due to the time scale. So I get to meet my elder grandson again for 1st time in 18 months.

Back to normality [of sorts] today - the food shop needs to be done and the grass needs cutting !
