Sunny and quite lovely here today. Saw the most tiny bunny ever under the hedge.

Morning - we have sunshine on one side and dark, gloomy clouds on the other side of the Severn Valley - and I have the heating on !

The day job again today then five days off to enjoy this forecast sunshine we're supposed to be getting.

Good morning! Sunshine and blue cloudless sky. I just heard on the news London will be warmer than Los Angeles today. I think lunch will be al fresco. Gardener is due this morning, so have to decide what to cook. Got to keep up her strength! Working on another piece of patchwork, so that will keep me occupied for a little while

Sunny and gorgeous here.............was out feeding the birds, and watering my tulips and lilac tree......all in bud.

It's dull and horrible here 10c. lost one but wasn't my fault as i have a swollen liver and was in bed in pain, got to now eat tasteless slop all day to give the poor thing a rest. cornflakes just does not do it when you want a bacon and egg butty

Buttons hopefully that you won't have to eat Cornflakes for 2 long, why is it that when you can't have something to eat we always want it twice as much,

Hola troops, I'm back ! Aren't you glad to see me ?!!!
Now who was on guard duty while I was away as reading back there seems to be a few listings disappeared including one of mine !

It's a good job I've had some Spanish sun to cheer me up. Madrid is certainly a good city to visit, the old part is lovely, I wouldn't like to do it in the middle of summer though as it was quite hot enough for me these last couple of days.

I've marched miles all round the little back streets and squares and have a blister on the sole of my right foot to prove it ! We spent three hours walking around the Prado which was fantastic, it's huge and they had a display of ten Picassos along with all the usual paintings and sculptures. Yesterday we went to the Royal Palace which was spectacular and they had a display of all the Royal portraits. I was fascinated to see the porcelain room where the walls and ceiling are completely decorated with porcelain plaques.



It certainly is a big cultural centre with loads of theatres and opera houses. The only thing that was a shame is that it has a big graffiti problem, all the shop shutters were covered in the stuff everywhere you went and it wasn't the artistic kind either it was just a mess. Of course as it was hot we had to try out quite a few bars along the way ! I'll get a few photos up when I've got them sorted.

Sarge - glad you had a good jaunt! Your quick review of Madrid was great! Would love to see it someday - and your pics when you have time to put them up. You got back just in time for the sun here!
