Tony, have a good one. Trish, I've had a few of those St. Pat's myself, including the day I met my ex in a freak NY blizzard, not a lot of luck here on St. Pat's so I'm laying low today, so far no nasty leprechaun tricks, knock wood.

    Cheers and green beers,

Good Morning from me at Poscar Palace

Woo Woo it's great to be back.

<Best English accent on for Wyo>
I was back online yesterday evening, but the line kept dropping and I would lose my connection. This was predicted by Sky Broadband to enable them to optimize the line speed.
As it happenned on Paddy's Day evening I was not too concerned as I was occupied by a Guinness tasting session with one of my sons that came to visit me at my (small) palace.
So much to catch up with in here, that is my priority this morning whilst waiting for my Tesco shopping to arrive, if he ever finds me because I am off-road.
Every morning I open my front door and just look at the trees and listen to the birds, I am really lucky to have this house in this hidden location in a big town.

    Now, back to things Irish..

I am sure that Trish will like these lads..

I'll be back after I've had a good read of the forums.

But first a brekkie for us.

Congrats Graham, glad to have you back. Your place sounds lovely, wish I had a view here, but as long as I'm not in an apt. with neighbors on the other side of a too thin wall, I'm happy. Hope your grocery boy found you OK.

Had another lovely walk in the park (the only bit of nature around here) this am, cooler today, so perfect walking weather. Winston had his usual sniff fest and we walked almost 2 miles. Now he's back to slug in the yard, his favorite position, just wish he didn't bring so much of the yard indoors.

    Cheers,

Hi, welcome back Graham, enjoyed the Killkennys. Trish also like the Pogues & Dubliners version. Heres a few I missed posting on my blog from the great Goats Don't Shave.

    Mornin'/Evenin' all

Hope everyone had a great St.Pat's day - hic!
My celebration is yet to be arranged, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Well it's going to be 35c here today & cyclone Nathan is expected to cross the far north Qld coast 2am Friday morning as a category 4. To put that in prospective, Pam, that wiped out Vanuatu & other islands was a cat 5.
Fortunately for us, the projected area in the line of fire from Nathan is sparsely populated.
As far as the heat goes, it's very late in the season & the weather bureau predicts records will be broken in some areas today. Whew!
My air-con is going to get a workout.

Along the same vein as "books" tunes, here's an Aussie oldie from 1984.

I have run out of day here. I went to the big city and finally got some rent, haircut, and new boots. I discovered when I put my ostrich skin boots on this morning I have worn a hole in the side. I've only had them for 15+ years. Now I have to break in my black ostrich ones. Good news is I can gt a new purse, not really I hate changing purses and cars.

I just had to take a minute and say Howdy to Graham since he turned on his proper English accent for me - glad to hear you again! Good to hear you like your new place.

I hope Trish is OK, has she been abducted by a Mumford?

<for Wyo in best English accent>

Good morning ma'am, I hope that you and little O are in good health.
You need to put your new boots on and do a jig to free them up

Sue, hope that you and big W get more walking done today.

    Bagpipe time...

Warning.. Includes scantily clad men in kilts

Did someone mention scantily clad men in kilts? Ooooh, YES perlease!

Welcome back Pos me duck, the new Poscar Palace sounds idyllic - just shows that all good things are worth waiting for.

What a wonderful selection of choons to listen to and watch - sure had my chair rocking and feet tapping!
Many thanks to all who posted them - more please!

Old, keep cool and crank up the air con - sure hope that Nathan keeps to the projected path and passes over without too much damage.
A cat 4 is not to be taken lightly.

Wyo, new boots after 15+ years...lol!!! Lets hope these new fancy black ostrich ones last you a bit longer !!!!
(Hope you get a nice purse to match)
    Here's a choon for you .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0go5Q_v0EIk

(Check out the little kid - just brilliant! )

Well, yesterday I spent most of the afternoon at the hospital for my pre-op assessment.
(I'm getting a new lens and cataract removed from right eye next Thursday, left eye will be done at a later date).
It will be great to see properly again, instead of seeing everything through a thick fog!

Had a slight accident on the way home, JR took me for a meal out at a lovely little country Inn to save me cooking tea/dinner when we got back.
I could hardly see a darn thing as the eyedrops hadn't worn off and I missed a step leading to the entrance door, and fell into the entrance and banged my head on a potted palm!
I felt so stupid, I've fell out of many a pub, but I think this was a first to fall into one ...lol!
Had to have a stiff drink to calm my nerves....
