Hey Vonz!
What a stunner you were and probably still are - good looks mature and keep well like a good wine!
Like the sarge says, I too had a similar hair do - what brill fashionista's we were!
Glad you had a good shopping spree - and spent tons of money - and enjoyed watching Shelley and eldest grand-daughter suffering the pains of the eyebrow threading - OUCH! It does hurt!
(I'll let you into a secret - would you believe that my son Dominic saw it being done in a shopping mall in Ipswich, and had his done!)
Laura (his wife) said he squealed like a piglet ...lol!!!
Just proves my theory that menfolk cannot endure pain like us womenfolk!
Great to hear from you me duck, keep posting, keep positive
Much love xxx
Well, it's been an "interesting" couple of days ....
The anti-sickness medication, made me violently ill (ya couldn't make it up)
But I feel much better today now that it has been stopped and i've got a different type.
Back to the hospital on Monday for a 5 hour appointment. GFR (kidney function) testing after being injected wth some wonderful radio active dyes .... I keep threatening to turn the lights off .... see if I glow lol
My house looks like downtown Beiruit on a bad day! Boxes, furniture & general mayhem atm .... but we will get there i'm sure.
Anyone live in Dorset, near Monkey World?
I have a bit of a "bucket list" in mind ... and i'm determined to go!
Fly from Newcastle to Southampton, pick up a people carrier at the airport (will be 6 of us), travel across Dorset to maybe the Springfield Hotel. Partake of all the facilities. Then all the following day at Monkey World ... evening flight home.
Obviously it all depends on being well enough to go and maybe not for a few weeks yet. But if you think of anything that would be helpful or to watch out for ... please just give me a shout. Ta muchly.
Headed for my bunk now.

Hi Vonz, hope you're keeping your spirits up just thought I'd share where I've been this evening, and why.
The village hall I help to run, our committee (there's only 5 of us) went out for our belated Christmas meal this evening, yes, on 6th March, the reason being last December our chairman was in the early stages of Chemo, when even catching a common cold could have been fatal for him, not wanting to have our Christmas meal without him, we left it until he let us know he was ready.
We didn't talk much about his cancer or the chemo treatment, which he is still under going, he looked very well, and we all enjoyed our meal, even though there was no turkey or Christmas pudding in sight.
ETA: When I started this post, Vonz post above wasn't there, our dogs wanted to go in garden so there was quite a delay between starting the post and finishing and posting it, sorry if it seems strange below Vonz post.

Monkey World sounds fun!

I think Deanosaur1972 lives in Poole which isn't far from there Vonz. You could drop him a PM. Who cares what the house looks like, it's much more important to go and do the things you enjoy when you feel up to it.

Just pray they don't make you angry; they wouldn't like you when you are angry:
You wouldn't get me anywhere near anything like that again.Anyone live in Dorset, near Monkey World?
- They may not let me out a second time.
- Last time, at Longleat, they pulled my car to bits and vanished up the trees with parts of it. The keepers never did get all of it back.
I've been to Monkey World - lived on the Poole/Bournemouth border for many years.
Yvonne, you will love it and will fall in love with the those little/big apes and will want to take them home with you.
My suggestion is you look for flights to Bournemouth airport as Eastleigh is roughly 50 miles away from the venue. Or, maybe a coach as there are 6 of you.
It's been 12 years since I lived in Bournemouth so maybe Deanosaur1972 can suggest more options.
