I'd often wondered what the 99p stores would do in years to come when inflation reached the level where items that cheap would be such rubbish that they wouldn't be worth buying.(Some might say they've reached that stage now!)Seems like they won't have to worry,they've been bought out by Poundland.
Usually when one retailer absorbs another it leads to job losses,this will certainly be the case in Northampton.There is one of each opposite the other in Abington St.Is your town in a similar situation?
