I think lots are the way to go with yarn and don't show me what you list - I'm trying to reduce my yarn stocks.
I have sold quite a lot of needles individually and they go quite happily as LL. They also sell to the most surprising places - shipping them to Australia was not uncommon.

I am sure that some of my needles are too long to go LL but I will try pairing up the yarn with the pattern I bought it for and try that.
Thank you all for your suggestions. I have some really nice yarns and i'm sad i can't knit it up but there is no point in the cupboard being stuffed full of it when someone can use it

Pack the needles corner to corner, that way the packet is not as long.
