Not quite free - there is the deposit which such candidates lose but it would be excellent value for money!

Talking of which... Didn't the Lib-Dems lose their deposit in the Rochester and Strood by-election? I don't recall it ever being mentioned, but they polled less than the 4% (some places say 5%) which should mean they lose it.

Getting in the newspapers is easy. Avoiding getting arrested in the process is the tricky bit.

Yes I think the Libs have lost more than one deposit.

Getting in the papers is not as easy as you may think nor staying in them... I think an ebid candidate is a really FUN idea, whoever needs
- to be over 21
- I think they also need to be seconded or proposed something like that

There may be a few other aspects, however a really fun idea that should make the papers!

Some silly policies
- no fees on postage
- no changing of the rules every 2 or so months (in a negative illogical way)
- no extra 'free' listings if you add 2 or more photos to an item
