Thread: From Panama would like to upgrade to seller

  1. #1

Question From Panama would like to upgrade to seller

    Hello,
I sell on eBay and I would like to sell in here as well, is only about to request this to eBid, what else do I need to do?
Also I would like to test with a plain seller account before going to the seller+ account or try the seller+ for a month to start.
    I have,
    Paypal: business verified
    Skrill: business verified
eBay: 100% positive feedback (40 feedbacks so far)

I live in Panama and I can ship worldwide through COTEL Panama which is the Panama mail service providing tracking number.

    Some items that I offer:
    Stamps
    Postcards
    Coffee (Panama and Colombia)
    Figurines
    Clothing
    Mug Cups
    Railroad and Panama Canal memorabilia

Thank you and I hope everyone is having a great day,

    Rodrigo "Bob" de Diego

    Hi and welcome to eBid

There used to be an extensive list of all the countries and continents (at the bottom of each page) that showed who was able to participate in selling on eBid and those only able to buy on eBid. I cannot find that list any more.

I suggest you contact support@ebid.net and ask them if you are able to sell on here.
If successful, be aware that, if you choose the weekly/monthly selling option, this is a recurring option and you will be automatically charged for each term and money will be taken from your Credit Card as detailed here: http://us.ebid.net/help_register.php#1a

    Hope this helps

That's because there are no longer restrictions on which countries can sell (see latest newsletter) - as I informed the OP on their other thread on the same subject.

Yes, I read the newsletter Mel, and I think it's still a good idea to show the countries available on eBid, even if it's a eBid Sites pop up like they do on TOS. The Choose your location tab on the front page is now outdated?

I didn't know TOS advertised eBid.

Not sure what you mean by that. For the OP, all they have to do is select North America and Panama is one of the countries in the dropdown in the registration page. As far as I can tell the option to be a seller is on there.

When you go to the eBid main page there is a: Where would you like to shop? text on the green bar at the top of the page and next to it on the right is a big button Choose your location with a drop down arrow
    ......

I knew where you meant, I just don't understand why you feel it is now redundant.

I ask that because if, like the newsletter states, any country can sell on eBid, then doesn't it make the continents obsolete? Shouldn't we have all the countries showing and no continents?

I think the 'Where Would You Like To Shop?' is a bit of iffy text. The purpose of that selector is more to do with determining your location and language. You can shop from anywhere if the seller ships to your country - whatever site you are on.

Two things that are very hard to determine with 100% certainty (AFAIU) rather oddly are a users location and the browser they are using.

Listing every country in the world would make for a pretty large front page. I look on the legacy country icons as a sort of 'speed-dial', the countries under the continents you have to 'look up in the phone book'.
