With respect to OP, although the overall size of the eBid promotions budget will be affected by low fees, it is incorrect to paint the picture that eBid hardly does any advertising. Google Shopping is a form of advertising.
I would have thought that the constant drip feed of incorrect comments on the Forum about eBid not advertising runs the risk of turning potential sellers away from eBid.
Sorry to spoil the party but if any UK eBid member thinks that they can send unsolicited messages to former customers without their prior permission, they will be in breach of the UK’s Data Protection legislation and will be committing an offence in law. Business sellers should be registered with the Office of the Information Commissioner and should work within the rules established by the Data Protection legislation.
