Question Selling - won't let me choose the free option

I'm trying to upgrade my buyer status to seller status and choose the free option (3% final fee) and it keeps bringing me to the login page, even though I'm already logged in. I try logging in again, and it won't leave the login page. Is this some kind of scam to keep you from choosing this option and choosing the seller + option with upfront fees?

oh lol! Welcome to the Forum!
Why is it new folk, when they encounter a slight hiccup, assume eBid is a scam? ROFL! You couldn't be further from the truth.

You can contact Support via the Help Button, Contact us (top right of the page) or you can email direct to
    : support@ebid.net

Real live folk will answer you, not bots on never ending loops like elsewhere.

As I said, Welcome to the Forum, and welcome to the fantastically better place to sell!

Another U.S. member reported a similar problem, so there is probably a bug in the system.

As Cheaver said, report the problem to support@ebid.net. You'll get an immediate confirmation with a ticket number. Wait for a response from support, it will be a live human being. It's late afternoon in Great Britain, and I'm not sure if they have anyone on duty overnight, but I assure you they will get the problem fixed.

You can't list items for sale until you have upgraded.
Your All About page still shows you as a BUYER.
Follow the link for instructions on how to upgrade to SELLER or SELLER+.

Thanks for the quick reply, cheaver. As a new user, when a site gives you a problem trying to sell without first paying upfront fees, it gives a very bad first impression. It's not a slight hiccup when a site won't let you do what it's advertising, but instead tries to guide you to the higher fee option. Perhaps that's why people question it's validity. I have not had this issue with other selling sites, which is why I questioned it. Thanks again.

Yes, I was trying to upgrade to SELLER, but it wouldn't let me choose the free option. I've been informed this is a 'hiccup'.

You can't sell something as a 'buyer' so you have to upgrade. Hang in there, support will sort you out

Just a comment... without me knowing, betcha the OP has been around many public online auction sites... and is used to being ripped off, or just running around the maypole. A lot can be learned from the OP comments.. that is if you understand and want to learn.

Which would explain why the OP jumped to the conclusion that it was another online scam.
Not unreasonable when you consider the underhand practices of another site.

How lucky we are at eBid, not to have to worry about such things.
