Can you bid on an item if you don't have an account with eBid?

I have a bidder that claims she never set up an account has no idea that she had a bid placed on an item. Is this possible?

That darn cat! I will have to tell Carnoustie to keep her cats locked up.

When I tried to place them on my blocked buyer list it said the person did not exist. There must be a way to walk in the back door and if there is it is hole that needs to be plugged.

Yes, a "new" buyer can purchase a "Buy Now" without registering. The system will ask for an email address, a postal address and then take you to the payment options. See the Jun 2013 eBid newsletter for details.

Buyer claimed she only looked at "the troll".

Even if that is what they need to do that takes some effort. Has to be the cats or the ghosties from Elm Street.
