Have a good one Tony, hope it doesn't hit back, LOL.
Cheers,
dont think so and i'm bleary eyed.but up early in the morning
good morning everybody
coffee-time now
Howdy everybody!!
Great weather here lately, low to upper 70s.
We will have over 30 tomatoes ripe by tomorrow, 10 green peppers and about 15 jalapeņos by Saturday. Now the melons have started growing.
Gonna be some good eating around here.
Mmmmmm, now that sounds yummy! I remember years ago my grandfather used to grow tomatoes and we'd have fresh tomato sandwiches on buttered bread, mmmm, brings back great memories.
Bf loves jalapenos and habaneros, grows both in his garden. I love em, too, but they don't love me...
Cheers,
Hi everyone, yet another glorious day here in sunny Suffolk with hot, hot temps.
I cooked our meal outdoors again, I'm so loving this al fresco life!
You just cannot beat a home-grown tomato, they taste so much nicer, I especially love the little cherry toms, sweet as nuts! I eat them like sweeties!
We grow them in grow-bags, as there isn't much room left in the greenhouse what with JR's sweet and hot peppers, chillies etc and my plumerias and tropical plants. We have sweetcorn growing outdoors too, and bountiful supplies of salad stuff. The plum tree is heavily laden and the fruit is now turning golden, so it won't be too long before we are munching on the sweetest plums ever .... got to beat the wasps though, as they are also partial to a plum!
Not had a single cherry (again) the darn birds eat the buds in springtime and the tree is bare of fruits .... grrr, I so love cherries. Maybe next year we will succeed - going to cover the whole tree with netting - although I'm not sure if the birds are to blame, or the horrible winds that blow all the blossoms away.
We are plagued with flies ... they are everywhere, and they are driving me nuts! I think it's the muck spreading on the fields and allotments. Not had the flying ants yet, but I suppose there is time for that, when the weather temps boil over in August. I can put up with anything rather than moths ... I can hardly bring myself to say the word, I'm so scared of them. Eeeek!
