    Good morning

A grey start to the day here.

I am starting my search for a new place to live today.
I can't stay in this flat much longer due to the person in the flat below being a nuisance,
The landlord seems reluctant to want to move him out.
I am not being awkward, just don't like the smell of weed being smoked wafting through my open windows and the noise when his mates come round.
There are many other small niggles which when put together just make this an unpleasant place to live for an oldie like me.
The flat itself is excellent, the neighbour below isn't.

A house with a garden will do nicely.

    I need to focus..

    Good Morning everyone.
A greyish day here too, and the wind is getting up.
I looked through an upstairs window and saw what I thought was an injured blackbird flapping about on the ground.
My first thought was OMG, I bet a cat has had it, so I dashed out to see if I could rescue it. Oh man, did I feel silly when I discovered that it was a piece of black bin liner flapping about. Sheesh, I guess I need my eyes testing again.

Oh Pos, what a pity your neighbour is making a nuisance of himself. You put quite a lot of work into doing up your place, and now you have to move out and start all over again.
I hate moving house, I seem to have done it far too many times, with changing pubs that we kept.
I'm staying put here, I couldn't face emptying all the cupboards, drawers, garage etc of all the stuff crammed into every nook and cranny!
A lot of stuff is what the kids have left here, and I cannot bring myself to throw their childhood possessions away, even old school books!

Well, my feet are cold, so I'm off to find some wooly socks and I'll make us all a nice hot drink too!
Help yourselves folk .... and here is some lovely music to enjoy with your coffee (makes me cry)

    Morning everyone.
Wow Trish Ed Sheeran is ace, that's a great story. My eyesight lets me down too, but that story once reminds me of a friend in Guernsey, we got back to her house after a night out and saw what I thought was a black rubbish sack on the ground moving, very weird (well it was dark too) it was her drunken neighbour! Lol
Poscar I really feel for you about your neighbour, got that tee shirt! it is an absolute nightmare having to live like that, there are some real ar**holes around sadly, including landlords, who don't help. Just interested in making their money and nothing else. It is a real problem in the uk neihgbour horrors. Hope you find a solution and good song btw! As usual from you Also arr Trish. Lovely choice of music to listen to before I go off to have a nasty in hospital soon lol nothing major I hope.(Just having a barium tube thing inserted in my derriere, yeuk lol) Seems to be par for the course as we get older, like an old banger needing servicing more regularly haha

    Morning/afternoon everyone!

Yikes, Sister Sal, hope everything goes well. I hate hate hate docs/hospitals with a passion, thank goodness for Miralax. I used to have loads of IBS-C issues for years, but since taking it daily since 2007, (mixed with morning coffee, it dissolves and I can't even taste it), the issues are few and far between, it might be something to try (it's non-prescription/OTC here) if you suffer from the C as I do. The doc said I can take it every day forever if needs be, (it's just non-absorbing sugar, not damaging or habit forming), his wife and 10 year old son take it daily without issue.

Graham, yikes, I hear ya on the noisy/rude neighbors thing, it's one of the many reasons I moved from my old apt. to the house I moved to last October, fewer neighbors and those I do have are older, which means I don't have to deal with noise and parties, (it helps to have cops living across the street as well). I'll keep my fingers crossed you find a nicer place, (toes and eyeballs, too)...

    Cheers,

Wow! After reading some of these posts it just occurred to me I might be one of those annoying neighbors.
I'm going to have to ask and find out! Hopefully not but never know.
We aren't really loud or have constant company over or parties but we do spend a lot of time outside with the stereo on.

OK, bad news alert, yesterday I had to put my Sampson down. I might have waited too long, but I didn't want to make it an issue of my comfort. He has been senile for nearly 2 years, but he reached the point where he couldn't walk and he quit eating and drinking. He was 15+. Onika and I are getting along OK so far. I have discovered a way to get her to come inside in the middle of the night other than me going out to get her. I turn on my bedroom light.

Speaking of neighbors, I have a farm next door. Yesterday the geese moved in. Why didn't they buy a place in the country? Besides an unknown number of humans there are 1 dog, 4 sheep, 1 chicken, and 6 geese. I'm moving out to my farm so I can have some peace and quiet! Except there is no house on my farm.

Don't feel too sorry for me, I shall live, but I won't enjoy it!

Oh Wyo, I am so sorry to hear about Sampson. I'm sure he'll be playing with my Dukie about now, Duke was my sweet friendly lab mix who passed away last February, he loved other dogs and most people, too.

BIG HUGS to you and Onika from me and the Big Guy.

Oh Sal, how absolutely horrible for you, the derriere bit! I sure would hate that .... I hope you got on OK and the results will be good for you.
Yes, Ed Sheeran is very good indeed, a really talented lad who should go far.

Well, I suppose we are at times, noisy neighbours, especially when all the kids come home and we have a barby, as their friends often turn up too and the garden is full of music and laughter. I do have a solution though, if I know that we are having a party or lots of people around, I have asked my neighbour to come and join us. She did take me up on it once, and drank several beers and half a bottle of brandy. Apparently, she was terribly sick and spent the next two days in bed with a horrendous hangover. (Some folk just cannot handle their drink!) She doesn't come around any more ....

    Wyo, what can I say?
I'm so awfully upset to hear about Sampson, but I think in your heart you knew that his time was coming to an end.
He has had a good innings with a lovely life, but that doesn't make it any easier for you, as I just know the sadness and emptiness that you (and Onika) are feeling right now.
They say time heals, I guess it does, but it does take a helluva lot of time.
Big hug to you dear pal (((((((((((((((((xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)))))))))))))))))) )))
With regards to the geese et al, I suppose you could always take a tent and move out to your farm - camping out is very peaceful.

Al, I seriously doubt you're the annoyance, in my case it was mostly neighborhood teens and young people with VERY loud car stereos who hung out in and around their cars in the parking lot nearby by the hour, (mostly after midnight), playing (c)rap music, (IMHO not really music, just a lot of booming). Good music almost never upsets me, now if we could just get some musical sense into the kids I might be OK, LOL.

    Cheers,
