Al - sorry to hear that. Glad your family is ok. Spring/summer storms in the midwest are sometimes unbelieveable!

Good morning
I am glad to see that you survived the storms Al.
I've not been around eBid for a short time, I had a fall involving stairs, I am injured but alive and getting better each day, that's what counts.
I stayed at one of my sons whilst I recovered and was well looked after, I am now back in my flat and have my independence again.
I am happy to be back home and happy to be on here again.
Now, here's some noisey AC/DC music for you..
Graham
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain.
No damage here. Daughter and son in law were up all night bailing out the sump pit to avoid basement flooding. I found out late last night they didn't have a generator by then it was too late to go buy one. Home improvement stores were closed and 24 hour stores only had them on line.
I'll probably head to their house before I go to work. If the power is still out I'll pick up a generator for them. I don't have one either but our power lines are underground. 20 years and our power has only gone out 3:times all due to construction digging. Longest outage was 4 hours.

Hello Graham, welcome back. I wondered what was wrong - I saw that you had closed your auctions down for a little while, due to illness. I posted a get well wish for you on post #15690. I'm glad to hear that you are getting better, and hats off to your son who cared for you so well.
Thanks for the great AC/DC choon ... just love it! (Love to see Angus Young in his shorts... )
Al, how awful for your daughter to be without power and to have been up all night bailing out the basement - my heart goes out to her, especially as she has the two little ones to care for. Good job you can help out with the generator. Hope all will be OK for her and her family soon.
Wyo - my mums dog - a beautiful lady Greyhound called Pippa also had a fat deposit on her leg. Mum decided against surgery as Pippa was already at a good age and mum was afraid that she may not pull through an operation. It looked unsightly as it grew bigger, but it didn't cause her pain, nor did it contribute to her death, she lived until she was just purely too old to go on.
Oh, and Wyo ... thanks for the drinks... great selection, unfortunately a lot of those bottles seem to be empty now ....
Hope the weather isn't causing you any probs Sues, must be getting hotter and hotter in your neck of the woods.
Keep slapping the sunscreen on ... and to young Winston too!
bournbon whiskey in the bar now.
