I must admit it would be nice to switch off the view count for run until sold items because it can be seen as negative when multiple items have over 400 views and no interest hehe. I have quite a few items on run until sold (over 100 items), much older stock that I am not bothered about when it sells and I do not want to do the work of relisting even with the auto reposts, I save that for the newest stock, for which on the reposts I do have it set to resetting the views. So on run until sold it would be nice to be able to turn off views altogether so the views do not get up into the hundreds lol.
Your other option would be to switch to 90 day listings, maximum time allowed, and reset views to zero on auto reposts which is something I will start doing soon on run until sold items. But I would much prefer to have the option for a 356 day listing with 10 auto reposts for this much older stock or even 150 day listings with 10 auto reposts or a max of 5 reposts so views can be reset to zero other wise I have to mess about ending all run until sold items to reset the views to zero as a new run until sold listing and if you're going to do that you might as well just go for the 90 day listings with 10 auto reposts and reset views. For me it is about time, I would rather dedicate my time to pushing the new stock than back catalogue items that are in stock and that are 8+ years old now - they'll sell when they sell.
With the poor level of sales on here experienced by us all then I think the removal of views altogether would be the far better option as views mean nothing to buyer and seller, if someone wants something, they'll buy it regardless of whether it has had a handful of views or 500 views.

Doing business without proper advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark. You know what you are doing but nobody else does and the girl doesn't even know you're winking at her either."
Doesn't worry me really - I don't give views much credence... I'd like to say my stuff doesn't stay on here long enough, but, well...
Views do NOT matter, they only fool those who do not know better.
Give the Seller Option to not have views in their auctions show to Lookers.
Better yet, do away with misleading, mean nada views.

I'm a new Seller+ and noiticed that if I refresh the page of an item I'm listing, the views goes up by one.
Surely the number of views should be "unique views", i.e. based on the viewers IP address, not just
the number of times the page has been viewed by a small number of people?
Views are also affected by sharing on Facebook/Pinterest and other social media.
I automatically get 4 views when I pin an object on my boards on Pinterest. When someone re-pins it I get another view.
