No logic - the world is crazy - I'm always impressed with the way people like paying listing fees. The best I've seen was an item at £100 when they were going through unsold at 99p

    BK Stamps for Philatelic listings

I've made a number of inexpensive but very nice purchases here on eBid, mostly jools and books, hope to make more in future when the $$$ situation starts looking up.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

I was searching for an item yesterday. On ebid it was £49.99 plus £.3.40 standard postage or £6.00 for 24 hrs. The same seller had the same item on TOS: £44.95, free standard postage or £1.35 for 24 hrs.

Why did I look on TOS? To see how much extra this "power-seller" charged there, if I could find him. Wondering where the "power" comes from as it certainly is not in the brain department! I know a seller may charge as he wishes but I fail to see any logic in this...Certainly it is of no help to other sellers. "Footfall" (metaphorical of course) is as important here as it is in your nearest Shopping Mall.
This is something I have trouble understanding also; would like to hear the logic behind it from the sellers who do it. I can fully understand an auction style listing being started at $0.99 + free s/h on the Bay; and same item started here at say $599 + $7.99 s/h if it was worth > $700. But when looking at comparable BIN listings it makes very little sense, unless someone considers eBid buyers naive (which they are not).

I think it is possible to set a Bin price too low. But I see what you mean, as some sellers unaware of the buying patterns that occur on eBid, could set their auctions too low, with the expectation of a bidding war, more common to TOS.
