How long after making a store online before it appears in the Store drop downs?

I have just reactivated my Store and added a new one. I can see both if I follow the link.
But if I start at the top with "Stores" then Categories and so on down my Shops don't appear in the available list.
Probably they will after some refresh time - but how long is it? It has been about 2 hours since I put the old one back on line and added some items.

OK - they are "up" now - seems to be about 3 hours :-)
