    Astral's little club? argh!

Please understand that we have an almost daily supply of people telling the world that they know how to make eBid a success. While I can be in with the best at criticising the management, eBid has grown steadily and management have shown no sign of allowing me (or you) to spend their money on advertising on TV (which, in the end, is what we all want).

If Astral can be abrupt, consider how many such threads he has read in the last year!

You were the one talking (and talking, and talking, and...) of heading for the door. I was merely making an observation of that fact.

I have no control over any 'door', so have no power to usher anyone through it in either direction. Though my preference is that those stating an intent to use it do so in an expeditious manner and don't keep it open letting a draught in.

A very little club, with a membership of one. I was even a bit dubious about letting me in.

I see your point madelaine and could understand that astral may get frustrated or simply just sick of hearing people criticize, in particular astral has put forth much effort to help people and the site succeed and having others (who have put forth less effort) criticize is probably very irritating.
I stand by my question is shooing people away good for ebid? I think not.
Sure I criticize some of the things done by those who run ebid yet I still contribute in a positive way by buying things. BTW I would purchase more if what I needed was here. Here's an example of something that is not available DOCSIS modems, the few I found were overpriced by far so, with reluctance, I had to buy over there. I think if someone had access to these at good prices they could make a good buck as many internet providers are requiring there users to upgrade to them recently.

Astral you do a whole lot more talking than I do.

If I do leave it will be done with sadness and disappointment because i see so much potential for this site.
What you say will not effect my decision but, I think it may effect others when given the same treatment. This all just my opinion obviously

With "Spritiuality and metaphysical" it is 14 empty stores from a total of 25 (56%).

Most categories of store have a quota of emptiness, though some have only a few.

How ever many empty stores there are, it does nbot give an impression of this site. We've all seen those streets with half the shops empty or boarded-up. Do we chose to shop in them?

Would it be a good idea for eBid to automatically delete categories as soon as the number of stores in them drop below 1?
They could easiuly be resurrected, if a new store was opened.

Agree. This would be a good place to start for incoming and existing sellers, who are looking for areas to list to/sell in.

But not about leaving. If I ever decided to go I would simply do it - with maybe just a 'So long, and thanks for all the fish' to those I have enjoyed meeting here.

Grown steadily? I guess if it is based on from the beginning until now this is a true statement. If we look at the past 6-9 months then this statement becomes a bit questionable.
Maybe someone should pay some attention to what some conside "know it all" comments.

Adruml I had the same thoughts about growth recently all I have seen is shrinkage.
