And I'm not sure she ever sleeps! Probably should speak more quietly, just in case she is napping under the mess table.

My day has not started out well as my computer is still playing up. This AVG i put in seems to be worse than Norton for slowing things up. I am thinking of putting the computer back a few days and installing something else as AVG has installed a load of rubbish along with it. I thought it was good and you all used it.

You may still have some bits of Norton on your computer, it is very bad at uninstalling itself and often leaves bits behind that affect the running of your machine.

Do a search for uninstalling Norton, you should be able to find a link to the Norton removal tool on their website.

For the AVG can you not uninstall the bits that it added, toolbars can usually be uninstalled quite easily.

I didn't have norton in it last it was mcafee and i completely uninstalled it first. I have tried to delete and uninstall things it installed with it, it has also slowed my computer down to almost a stop, I also put malwarebytes in, I will go and have a poke about, I am using a chrome browser and things done seem as easy to get rid of as they do on IE.

Ok you said Norton in your previous post, but Mcafee also have a removal tool on their site, both Norton and Mcafee work in similar ways.

You say you have put in (installed) malwarebytes (is this another anti virus?) if it is it is not a good idea to run 2 anti virus products at the same time. At best they will both scan the computer slowing it down, at worse they will interfere with each other possibly making both of them inafective, and also slow the computer down (as they fight each other for the resources available).

Sorry I just meant that I know Norton slows things up drastically not that I had it installed, Malwarebytes is a malware program and not antivirus, but i will uninstall it and see what happens, Ta Sherlock

Humm, now will I be safe to leave for the Cornish outpost tomorrow ? What with whispering going on over the pond and Private Buttons with her knickers ... erm, I mean, computer in a twist ?!

I'm off to spend a couple of days with my brother and hopefully do some good recruiting in the Cornish pubs on my birthday !

I used to wash up in this one when I was sixteen and still have a battle scar on my finger from when a pint glass shattered when I was drying it ! They were tough times but good training for my mess duties these days !
