There must be a level playing field as regards fees and facilities offered to ALL sellers.
To do otherwise is to start out on a slippery slope towards present day Ebay and I'm sure no-one wants that (except large professional sellers, perhaps).
Agree entirely. All sellers should be equal on eBid. Fees, promotions, search placement should all be the same. If larger sellers want to join eBid it should be because of what is already here and not what extra they can get out of it by joining.

If my memory serves me correctly, da boyz tried schmoozing a big seller a few years ago.....complete with pride of place on the home page.
Lots of imported feedback, but the feedback on here was atrocious!

    They didn't last long......

Don't the boyz offer something for new sellers? I.e. A free T-shirt whether they be big or small? However it would be great to see Argos or Homebase listing on here

I'm with you on that, fair play for all.

Spell out the differences. Offering incentives to large revenue producers is nothing new.

All sellers should be equal, but in reality, they are not. In the area of placement in searches, I continue to notice huge differences in favorable placement among sellers. Often sellers who have better placement in searches also have increased visibility in other areas as well. It also does not often correlate to pricing or other commonly mentioned factors. So no, all sellerrs are not treated equally here. When I begin to see my sales levels or those of more eBid sellers begin to come close to your sales levels, than I might believe that all sellers here are treated equally. Right now they are not.

kreative is selling a completely different line to you if a customer chooses to buy a fork instead of a spade it does not mean the spade has less visibility than the fork it means the customer chooses the fork, horses for courses, if i want to buy a tee shirt im not gonna buy a gold coin, and visa versa

When I test for placement, I pick a keyword for items I offer. This generally works for most keyword categories. Of course featured items will be at the top. What I have often seen is a long run of a few seller listings clogging up pages 1 - 2 in the search, then 1 of mines might show up by page 3. How is that treating all sellers the same. Sound "correct" but in reality, it is just not happening. Test it out for youself.

I did suggest that any incentive would only be for a limited time, just to get them established on ebid and selling regularly.
Then they will want to stay anyway.
And ebid's fees are lower, and ebid's policies are fairer.
