What absolutely fantastic music tonight - woww with a capital W
I do like ZZ Top, I absolutely love drums, I love a lead guitar singing out - Les Paul, preferably - does that scream out?
Oh YES!
But I so love a heavy presence of a bass guitar - guess it's coz I married a bass player!
This is a favourite ..... turn up your speakers to hear that bass come in, approx 1.01 mins.

An amusing note .... when we kept our pub down in Cornwall, we had the best Juke Box ever.
We had a lot of bikers that came from all over Cornwall for the music on our jukie, plus they got free accomodation upstairs in the Pool room so that no -one had to ride back after a drink or two.
I had 16 camp beds in there - and they were nearly always full!
Beans on toast for breakfast was complimentary.
JR and I were totally rat assed after a Devonish Brewery Beer Festival in Truro - all ales were free for licencees, so needless to say we took advantage.
Someone put this tine on the jukie - JR turned it up full blast - and when the bass came in it blew all the speakers out and they half melted ... not to mention all the glasses that fell off the shelves with the vibration.
When we go back to Cornwall to visit my eldest daughter - all the men that were boys then still remember me and John, it's really awesome.
Great story Trish!!! Cocktails!!

Loved the story too Trish!
I was really bad yesterday. I bought a book for my Kindle (love it, BTW) and sat around in my jammies and cookie monster bathrobe (it's dying) all day and read 91% of the book. It was The Doomsday Book by Connie Willis. I have a new favorite author. My son sent me Not To Mention The Dog for my kindle for my birthday and that was my introduction to her. Doomsday has some of the same characters in it, so it was sort of like a reunion. I finished it this morning and bought another one of hers Passages. I am going to read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society first though. Willis lives in Greeley, Colorado, I found out this morning.
I just happen to have a little Jack lying around, so I'll share -
I YDC, Do you?
I'm here
Did you all get yourselves a drink at the bar?, my tab tonight!
Queen & Freddie, what a group.
I loved the music of a group called Free back in the seventies, when their lead singer joined Queen for a while I was over the moon, Free music played by Queen, bliss.
Free always had a good bass line in their music.
