I've lost one customer because eBid asked for too much contact information (and she had already proved herself a reliable payer).
So I don't want any fresh impositions, thanks!
(Closing a thread so no-one can reply is a bit odd, surely?)

In the spirit of Christmas I am posting my replies -
Madelaine - As required, my post was directed to eBid management and staff. Further the matter is of concern for U.S. sellers, so as to meet the requirements of the USPS. Now, are you on the eBid staff? Are you located in the U.S.? If not, I can find no reason for anyone to comment on a request for eBid to help a U.S. seller meet the requirements of the USPS.
Cheaver - Thanks for your continued concern.
FBNeNotes - I had to close the thread from comments from the usual "Individual" sellers who usually comment on matters that do not concern them. Many times they just do not realize that the requirements for Business sellers are more stringent than those of part-time sellers.
Raindropsies - Thank you, that would be appreciated.
Raindropsies - We process all orders within 24 hours. Further we had a load of orders to process. And, here we were with an international order without a phone number. As things would be, USPS does not allow international labels with confirmation numbers to be printed without a phone number for the receiver. Invoices from buyers at our webstore contain the buyer's phone number. The buyer imputes their phone number when completing the sale. Invoices from eBay buyers contain the buyer's phone number. However, no phone numbers from eBid buyers. In frustration, and with all the sarcasm that I could muster, I stated in my original post, that I had used the eBid phone number instead of the buyer's phone number. Perhaps, if I did, they could tell customs why they do not include a buyer's phone number at checkout.
Once you posted your comment, I just knew that the floodgates would open with many comments unrelated such as they are in this thread. So, I closed the original thread, reposted, and then closed it to further comments.
Merry Christmas everyone, enjoy your holidays.

The forums are where other members help each other, if you only wanted answers from eBid then you should have opened a ticket with support. You contact them at support@ebid.net
I also lost a customer who was a good one, who paid for their item promptly. They are still scratched off; may have decided to skip the third degree. As for requiring international buyers to provide phone #, etc. Some international buyers may decide to buy closer to home.
