Thread: Knitting Pattern Sellers - NOT the finished article

  1. #1

Default Knitting Pattern Sellers - NOT the finished article

This week, I have had two buyers - one on fleebay and the other on the river - claim that their item is not as described. Both have expected the finished articles in spite of 'Knitting Pattern' being both in the title and description.

I am now going to have to include the words AUCTION IS FOR KNITTING PATTERN ONLY, NOT THE FINISHED ARTICLE in all listings.

So, fellow pattern sellers, this is just a heads-up: there are a lot of dozy buyers around at the moment.

This is copied from one of my Knitting Pattern Listings.

    "Knitting Pattern By EMU

    Knitting Pattern Number 8357

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE PATTERN IS IN A USED CONDITION. IT IS FULLY LEGIBLE, BUT MAY HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING SIGNS OF USE :- CREASES, PUNCHED HOLES, TEARS, OR MARKS.

I WILL GIVE A FULL REFUND IF NOT FULLY SATISFIED."

I think this description is clearly stateing the type of item.

Thanks for the heads up. Sorry that this is happening. It is hard to believe that people would think that they are getting finished goods instead of the pattern, when a listing clearly states that it is the pattern. It seems that I revise and revise and there is always a new revision right around the corner.

I have had two on here. I lost it a bit with one and asked him why he expected a brand new Jumper for 75p and a £1.00 shipping, what do they think it is, a jumble sale. I am not going to do an added by seller as others have said they it looks stupid, and I can't use that stupid spreadsheet. How are you going to do yours?

    Thanks for the heads up

Yes it is MPs, I think mine and knitwits are as well, they just look at the pretty pictures and don't read the listing, in their rush to grab it cheap.
Think I had best shut up as you can tell I am not in a very good mood

Buttons - I've bulk edited all mine. And, yes, it does look stupid but, hopefully, will save any more hassle.

You know--Some of these buyers are so dense, I wonder how they figured out how to turn a computer on!
