If you list them to run for 7-10 days (rather than 30 days on 1st bid) they would gradually move up in the searches and people would be more likely to come across them. You might only get 1 bid on an item, as there are fewer buyers here than on better-known sites, so a Buy it Now as well as a bid price you are happy to sell at, would ensure you get a fair price for the item.
Although you say you make items to measure individually, how about making up a few in set sizes and different designs, just to get your listing numbers up and increase your profile? You could also use the Plug Your Auctions threads on the forums to promote your items. If you've only got 5 auctions running (as you have at the moment), it is unlikely that anyone will come across them, especially if they are at the back of all the listings (30 days 1st bid or Run Until Sold).
