Thread: Got new tft 17" monitor. BUT ...

    Question Got new tft 17" monitor. BUT ...

    If you have one are you aware of the text blurring when you scroll down the page ?

    Its lovely n all that BUT Its doing my eyes in ... will send me blind in a week if i cant fix it.

    Kinda like playing a 1st person game.

    Am i making sense and does anyone know what causes it ? How to fix it ?

    Please.

    Can you adjust the refresh rate on the screen? It used to do it on this one (not TFT), and I raised the refresh rate to the highest, no probs now...

    Oh yes , have done that b4 ... its on highest 75

    Im getting eye ache already.

    The words are v.slightly fuzzy and when you scroll down the page the words just become a fuzzy blur ... till you stop and then it goes back to normal

    elaine.. what browser are you using.. you can set the options for smooth scrolling.. Tools, Options and it should be there..

    In Firefox, its Tools, OPtions, Advance and under browsing.. tick smooth scrolling

    75? I'm on 100....you sure you've done it with this new monitor?

    I hate motion sickness from a screen/puter game, I have to lay down for a couple of hours. Hence one of the reasons why I don't own any game boxes....

    kinda wide, no creases. Medium height.

    WIN XP shab.

    Its very bright, i can change the brightness, contrast and what not.
    Whats phase ?

    Ahhhhh its still 100% better than last one. But, be nice to lose the motion sickness. lol

    If you're using XP I'd also advise setting ClearType fonts to be used (Control Panel > Display > Appearance > Effects > "Use the following method to smooth the edges of screen fonts" > ClearType.

    Might also be worth setting the refresh rate to 60Hz (CP > Display > Settings> Advanced > Monitor > Screen Refresh Rate)

    I can't work at 60Hz....it's too flickery and gives me eyestrain within a few minutes....
