But ebid needs lots ore successful sellers of other items.
What percentage of buyers in the world want t buy postcards?
    About the same as stamps!
Julie, yes, I understand that you think that it would be nice if there were more things available on eBid. I agree with that.

On the other hand, if eBid grows in the numbers of listings for stamps, postcards, coins, craft patterns etc., then that would be perfectly understandable, in my opinion. The setup of eBid is great for sellers who have large inventories of items in those niche categories.

It's obvious that these collectable items do not appeal to you, as you keep stating your opinion on them. Fair enough. But there are those of us who do buy postcards / stamps / craft items / coins etc., and we are glad to see a variety and selection in those listings here on eBid. Putting us down for listing these items or having an interest in them (that's how I react to your posts) .... well, I do disagree with that.

    Sorry for the hi-jack.

I've still been busy revising and re-listing on eBid and researching stamps.

The other thing with stamps and postcards is that with the low value eBid is a far better venue to sell them. The 8% difference in FVF can easily equate to a 10%+ reduction in profit margin and a low priced item does not need many paid for relists before the profit is completely gone.

My own opinion is that it would be great for eBid to become number one site for selling Postcards , Stamps or Comics. That fact could be used for publicity and would act as a magnet for the other items. I will happily sell my items to a philatelist and I am pretty certain that they al wear clothes and live in houses so they will have to purchase more than stamps at some time in their lives.

Not a problem. I love buying and selling coins, so I can relate to your point.
