Automatically qualified groups
Aged 75 or over and getting Guaranteed Credit element of pension credit (even if you get savings credit)
Aged under 75 and only getting the guaranteed credit element of pension credit

you receive
Incapacity benefit
Severe Disablement Allowance
Income related Employment Support Allowance
Housing or Council Tax benefit

thanks for posting this. we are not in the automatic claim catagory but a quick phone call to scottish hydro and it was all sorted and we get £135 off our next bill
