date wise 1870 - 1890 ish
usually made from silver, silver plate, brass or steel
Has it a silver mark ?

no it tests for brass i think it was silverplated that's it all i know

there are four bits

perfume bottle, pencil holder, small mirror and note book

The notebook pages were usually made of Ivory? & the pencil & book were used for ladies to write down the order of their dance requests at a ball.

What an amazing item ! I don't know much about these except if you are selling it on,it should make a few quid ...you don't usually see them with all the bits- good luck with it :-)

A Chatelaine's notebook is for domestic stuff - it's not a party item

I sold one for over £50 - can't find the details now.
