How does one create a signature please

Forgive this query and I am do not mean to appear obtuse but how does one do the above please?
How do you do it how do you apply to your items? Any help great fully appreciated.

Hi...to make a 'signature' for your posts here in the forum here's how:

1. Click on "Forum Actions" (up at the top of the page).
2. Click on "General Settings"
3. Scroll down the left sidebar and click on "Edit Signature".

From there you'll see what to do.....hope this helps!!
