Hi there...I'm a little confused with the payment methods on ebid as I have previously only used paypal. Can I use paypal as a basic seller on here? I don't have accounts with any other service. How do I start on here? Thanks :-)

Welcome to eBid!
The short answer is, "yes". But I'm not sure as a basic seller if the link to PayPal is integrated into your listing. I'm sure something with more experience will come along. In the meantime have you checked out this link?

Lots of great info and advice.
On eBid you can use any payment method you wish (one person has even been known to accept chocolate).
Equally, you don't have to offer any payment option that you don't want to.
As a basic Seller account holder only PPPay is integrated into the transaction process. For any other payment method you will have to handle the payment transaction yourself via the payment processor.
Listing using the Platinum listing option (only available to basic Seller account holders) adds integrated checkout for PayPal, Skrill, and Google Checkout (though the latter is soon to cease operations), plus access to most other features normally only available to Seller Plus account holders - basically Seller Plus on a 'pay as you go' basis.

Thanks for your replies and for the links, I will have a read through :-)
Payment in chocolate-now there's a thought !!
I have just opened up an account with PPPay, as this is the preferred method and I'm not sure if I'll be using the platinum listings yet. It only took a couple of minutes to sort out, happy days :-)
I have considered payment in chocolate, but haven't added it to the options. But will consider it...
If you wish to add that to your payment options, I am sure that would acceptable
