Thread: Back pain

  1. #11

    Default Re: Back pain

The doctor was just going to give me anti-inflamatory drugs, I objected on medical grounds. So he sent me to a physiotherapist. She gave me some exercises to do and its under control now.

I don't like taking drugs on a regular basis if it can be avoided. The only pill I take is cod liver oil.

My other medical problems are controlled by diet.
I remember everything, even what happened tomorrow.

I hear ya on the back pain issue, have chronic back pain myself resulting from scoliosis and a pinched nerve from when I was a nurse some years ago. I try to steer clear of meds when I can, but when it flares up really badly, Tylenol or aspirin usually work for a temporary fix.

Oh and I try not to lift my 75 pound doggy anymore than absolutely necessary, LOL.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

    I found this worked well.

    Rubbed on from the inside!

Seriously, after several back operations & being on pain killers for many years, which create their own problems, I finally learned to live with pain & not do too many things I knew would aggravate my condition.

Never have had chronic back pain; but had chronic shoulder tendonitis from a work related injury. I could not take the prescribed meds (Tylenol #3), as I would end up on the floor asleep for hours. So I just avoided use of the affected arm for about 1-2 years, and it finally resolved. Also did some prescribed exercises from PT. Chronic pain is a pain.

If in pain (any type) though I manage it aggressively, as I have a low threshold for pain. But usually only with Ibuprofen or aspirin, because of my response to stronger pain relief. I had refused pain medications during delivery for this reason and seemed to do ok, just bad tempered.
