Last year our very wet summer produced record amounts of hedgehog food in the form of slugs. I haven't seen one on our evening dog walk yet this year.

I'd love someone to pony up a hedgehog for me.............................ie: give me one. They are sooooooo adorable.................and I have sooooo many slugs I could feed them.

Thanks, madelaine - neat article!! We have lots of space, woods behind us, lots of nettle, wildflowers and wild spaces,,,,,, but I have yet to see a hedgehog here. sigh.

They are rather shy, so you don't see them that often

As the hedgehog is nocturnal...........sure can not say that about the longnecked Giraffe; an African mammal that can't get enough of chewing their food, over and over, even after they swallow it. These ruminators anticipate, ponder, and focus on the meal before them.

Tiger and giraffe bread ..... but no Elephant bread that I know of .... although it does spend around 22 hours a day eating!
