A couple of months ago I did some googling on summer houses for the garden, and after that all the adverts at the head of Ebid were about garden buildings.
Now I am in Mexico after a spot of work in California and all the adverts are in Spanish.

Targetted adverts is all very well but it is not very well targetted. I am not going to buy a second summer house, or respond to adverts in Spanish. More like Bart Simpson in charge at Google.

You are so right - I googled a hotel because no2 son was staying there on business and it took 2 months for the ads to disappear. The same when I booked a hotel - endless ads for the place I had already booked.

The way to get rid of the 'following' ads is to clear your browsing history and cache.

Yes, I could clear them, but while they are hotels I'm not interested in, they are not insulting me by offering me stairlifts!

I've just had a very bad experience with boiler maintenance contract. I've been to the website of the 2 companies involved - all the ads I'm getting at the moment are these 2 companies offering their service contracts! A bit like adding insult to injury.

I had never heard of that one, it is now added to my firefox search.
