Very true, the amount of school kids that come out of Greggs on their way to school and just throw their change about is amazing.

I've got to agree with all that has been written. I see it in a couple of my kids. I was taken in by the attitude of the buyers. On another site I deal on I changed the format, put the items up for sale as BIN's and in 15 hours three items sold. Go fig. Before I had these up as auction and I got the lookers but not the buyers. What an interesting world we live in.

The thing I think also is driving this buying habit is the new money as I like to call it. My family, the Mrs to the youngest, love the Plastic Wand. You know, the card, the debtor, the I'll pay for it later card. The Credit Card! I never see them carry money anymore. And they are the ones who will not deal in auction neither. The say, "Show Me the Cost Now". And now when you go to buy something and you pull out cash, you're looked at as if you trying to pass the plague. I've watched cashiers struggle with change or have a real conniption when they have to count it out. The generation of kids just can't take time. Hurry faster, faster. I know when we were teens we liked fast, but not all the time.

So I can see that the newer format might be the way to go. I haven't seen any downfalls. The fast turnaround is a good sign. And of course we have a good crowd here that have some great answers and suggestions.

Well see you all at the marketplace.

    Have a great day!
    Greg

I've noticed in the supermarket that younger shoppers just grab what they want and keep moving while us older shoppers usually look for the better deal. I think that comes from experience and knowing what items will usually be on sale on a regular basis.

I just might make time for a wander round our local comprehensive now & then!

P.S. I'm only a quarter Scot and no Yorkshire at all! Somehow I just hate waste - picked up coins are customarily given to charity in our house - left over from when our children were small and we were faced with explaining why 2p picked up didn't have to be taken to the police station but a wallet did!

    LOL!

I prefer BIN myself, (not an auction fan for a number of reasons, chiefly the fact that I don't have good luck with auctions as a buyer), though I will shop around for the best deal I can find; being unemployed and strapped for cash will do that to ya.

Best wishes for many sales to all,

Just in case Sherlock has taken offence - I've lived in Yorkshire 3 times and been happy there.

It was also good to see a Yorkshire cricketer playing so well at Headingley - Root made me think of Yorkshire as a possible "Cock of the North" again.
